Expository preaching is a careful drawing out of the exact meaning of a passage in its original context, in which the main point of the text becomes the main point of the sermon. By going verse by verse through books of the Bible, the preacher is better able to keep the meaning of the Scriptures in their context and provide the hearers with a better understanding of the passages we are studying.  Our worship is not a time for personal opinions, rather it is an opportunity for all of us to hear from God as His Word is faithfully explained, illustrated, and applied.
