The troups

Through a Pastor from one of their supporting churches, the Troups were introduced to A Place of Hope Africa. A Place of Hope is an orphanage that cares for 52 children from ages 2-18 years old in Enugu, Nigeria. Nigeria has 8 million orphans and a reported 2.2 million of them suffer from HIV-AIDS, making this truly a place where the hope of Christ needs to be given. Along with the orphanage, A Place of Hope has planted two churches with Nigerian Pastors in place. The Troup Family oversees A Place of Hope making sure the children are properly cared for, loving them, and showing them the love of Christ on a daily basis.

Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas CHild

After sharing the story of the good Samaritan, Jesus said, "go and do likewise." That is the mission of Samaritan's Purse--to follow the example of Christ by helping those in need and proclaiming the hope of the Gospel. Samaritan's Purse has the world's largest Christmas project of it's kind, Operation Christmas Child, uses gift-filled shoeboxes to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world. The boxes are filled with gifts of toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and notes of encouragement. Samaritan's Purse and its partners deliver these gifts to children in more than 100 countries on six continents.
