Children's ministry

Our Children's ministry incorporates The Gospel Project for Kids, Children's Sunday School, Children's Church, Vacation Bible School (VBS), fun events, and mission projects in order to engage the children with the gospel at an early age.

The purpose of this ministry is to provide children with the knowledge of God, His Word, and to share with them the blessings that come from loving and serving God.

This is developed through Bible stories, Scripture memorization, music, crafts, and mission projects. The Bible is filled with stories of people who have had struggles similar to the struggles our children are facing, or will face, as they mature. By "hiding" the Word of God in their hearts, and through Biblical accounts, children can begin to see God's goodness, faithfulness, love, and guidance.

The knowledge of Him provides them a foundation to make right choices. This in turn will teach them that life is best lived when they are in obedience to God.

The Gospel Project For Kids

The Gospel Project for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.

Hickory Road's nursery ministry is dedicated to providing a loving, safe, nurturing environment for the children of our members and visitors. Our purpose is to provide care for these young children (birth through three years old) so their parents/guardians will be able to focus on worshiping God and connecting with the body of HRBC during services and events.
