Through a Pastor from one of their supporting churches. The Troups were introduced to A Place of Hope Africa. APOHA is an orphanage that cares for 52 children from ages 2-18 years old in Enugu, Nigeria. Nigeria has 8 million orphans and a reported 2.2 million of them suffer from HIV-AIDS, making this truly a place where the hope of Christ needs to be given. Along with the orphanage, APOHA has planted two churches with Nigerian Pastors in place. The Troup Family oversees APOHA making sure the children are properly cared for, loving them, and showing them the love of Christ on a daily basis.
